hey friends! welcome back!
i know it's been a minute since i've posted - when the first round of #the100dayproject ended, i felt like i was defeated. it took a lot out of me and while i was thrilled with the results, i was emotionally spent.
the past two months have been the same. i have ideas and i've written plans and goals and done some research for things, but my creative mojo pretty much disappeared.
when i figured out how many days were left in this [crazy, unpredictable, insane] year i decided to do a second round of the challenge that inspired me so much.
i'm using an inspiration wheel that i designed to help me each day. last time i had a sketch book and a color combo book and i'm elevating the challenge this time around. i vow to use the theme the wheel lands on, but i can also add whatever i want to it. i'm also going to keep track of the results, because i'm also a weirdo like that.
since uploading this wheel i've added a few more options - it's going to be great.
day one resulted in watercolor. i picked out a new stamp set from mft and stamped the images onto some watercolor paper that i had already die-cut. i used my zig clean color real brush pens along with a water brush to add in color and watercolor the images. a tiny acorn from lawn fawn was a fun addition.
i added in some strips of orange and white patterned paper from various mft paper pads as well to help create my background. the black portion under the half circle is fringe that is slightly lifted off of the card base. it was the first time i used this die-cut and it's so stinking cute!
the sentiment that is stamped to the right of the pumpkins reads "hey there, pumpkin" and is adorable. i think this would be a great seasonal card for any and every reason.
the colored envelope is from gina k designs and i just love the brightness that it brings to the card. it's so fun.
i think this challenge will be really good for me and i can't wait for the next 99 days. i'm hoping you'll stick around. as always, i'm open for suggestions and ideas. i also plan to list most of these cards in the shop and i'll be sharing them
here in their own collection as well, which is a continuation from the first round!
