#the100dayproject : handmade card 80/100-2 : missing you

heyyy!
sometimes when i see a stamp or a die-cut set in a new release from a company, i just know that i have to have it. this was one of those sets - a combo of stamps and dies and they are even more adorable than i expected! this all worked out perfectly because the inspiration wheel landed on die-cut element for today's spin!
i mean for cuteee! how adorable is this little die-cut milk carton? and the way that it can be customized along the side like the cartons of the past with a missing child/animal image? so. freaking. cute.
it's hard to tell, but i colored the left side of the carton with a pale pink to coordinate with the pale pink in the patterned paper as if to represent a slight shadow. the little cat image has been colored with prismacolor markers and since i don't have a cat, i decided to just use several shades of grey. i think it works. the sentiment reads "missing you every. single. day." and i think it's incredibly fitting for sending to so many people!
the stripes on the patterned background come from patterned paper and they're intentionally a little wonky and not completely straight. the entire element is accentuated by the fact the paper has been die-cut using a diagonal rectangle that is also a little wonky. i lined up the carton with the edge of the paper to help guide your eye down and across the card front.
there's a few people that i am already wanting to send this card to - how about you? i think there are so many ways that i can customize this and i can't wait to design more options.
i'm so thankful to the amazingly talented people who design these products - i often have ideas for things, but i just don't think i would ever be capable of making them come to life. but lucky for me, i don't have to!
80 cards down, meaning there's only 20 days left this year! that is insane...i'm not ready. but also, i totally am. how about you?
