#the100dayproject : handmade card 79/100-2 : just a note

hey friends!

today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on pattern play and because i'm only *slightly* obsessed with rainbows and all things colorful, i decided to make a small set of cards. each one has the same overall design, as well as the same sentiment. however, each one features a different color patterned paper with diagonal tone-on-tone stripes. 

the sentiment, "just a note" is stamped in black ink and is accented by hand-drawn lines on either side. the kraft colored card base is a nice contrast to the brightly colored patterned paper which features tone-on-tone diagonal stripes in the following colors:

light pink

dark pink

red

orange

yellow

the diagonal tone-on-tone stripes run from the left to the right, which also plays off of the fact that the section of paper is also angled - with a shorter/smaller end on the left and the taller/larger end on the right side. 

i think it would be so fun to send these to someone and then after a while they'd have a little rainbow of happiness. they look so fun when they're bundled all together. and since the sentiment is somewhat generic, they can be used for any number of reasons or occasions. just a note - to say hello, to let you know i'm thinking of you, because it's been awhile, i heard something funny...etc. so many options! i can't decide if i want to make a similar set using the cooler colors of the rainbow, perhaps with a different sentiment. stay tuned, it just might happen.
