#the100dayproject : handmade card 66/100-2 : blessed to know you
Share
hey friends!
are you so full of turkey, mashed potatoes and pie? i think i made enough potatoes to feed a small army and there were just two of us! good thing they're one of my favorite foods - potatoes for daysss!
amid posting new items for sale today and shopping for new supplies [gotta love supporting small crafty businesses!] i made another card for #the100dayproject. it might look very familiar as the style is one i've used a few times - most recently yesterday! i know i mentioned that i love it and it's the truth - i'm seriously thinking a small set of these needs to happen. good thing i just received an order of clear boxes for creating your own sets of cards. they're perfect for gift giving! [i'll be adding them to the online shop tomorrow!]
i'm on a bit of a kick for creating cards that are day-makers and ones that will help people have a great day and feel good. this is a simple design and bold, rich colors help drive the point home.
three circles fill the center of the card base in shades of aqua, deep purple and royal blue. each slightly wonky circle has the negative image of a heart in the middle, revealing the stark white of the card base and background. grey outlined circles surround each of the three colored circles for additional detail. the stamped sentiment is in one of my favorite fonts - typewriter - and reads "so blessed to know you" in black ink.
this handmade card could be sent for so many reasons, but one thing is for certain: the recipient will have a better day once they receive it. it's amazing how just a few words can make someone's day. don't we all have a friend who enriches our lives in such a way that we feel so blessed and better for knowing them? i think that i've got a few i could send this card to for sure!
the colors i selected are all a little rich and deep and it just feels heartfelt to me. it makes me so happy. the inspiration wheel landed on 'all one company' and so not only are all the supplies from papertrey ink, but all the stamps are from the same set that i've been favoring the last couple days.
i'll be adding this card, [along with a few others that i managed to create today], into the online shop tomorrow. i've still got a few other surprises to share and i'm super jazzed about the online events for both the virtual holiday makers market as well as the shop holiday handmade. it's such a good feeling to support small businesses and i can't wait to see what everyone else has in store!
more tomorrow friends!
