#the100dayproject : handmade card 46/100-2 : awesome friend

what a great day! [maybe not for my michigan football team, but for the majority of the rest of the country - what a great day!]

my plans of lots of crafty time were a little disturbed for a nap and relaxing time - i haven't been feeling the greatest this week [just run down i believe, nothing overly serious] with a major headache, so i took some time today to do nothing. i always feel guilty doing this, but i think i really needed it. plus, there's always tomorrow for crafting and cleaning.

the spin on the inspiration wheel landed on all one company for the theme for today and i have some ideas for a small series of friendship cards, so that's where i started.

A friendship style card with a sassy sentiment "Isn't it amazing that we both have such an awesome friend?" accented by a purple glittered panel next to black and white diagonally striped patterned paper. The top two corners of the card are rounded. While somewhat simplistic, the design is clean and will make any friend happy to receive.

the design on this card is somewhat simple, but the message is to the point and will be sure to make your recipient smile! stamped in black near the middle of the card base is the sentiment "isn't it amazing that we both have such an awesome friend?" a narrow strip of glittery purple cardstock creates a spectacular divider between the sentiment and the black and white diagonally striped patterned paper. both of the top corners of this card are rounded for a subtle detail. this is some of my favorite glitter paper and as always, the glitter doesn't come off which is a total bonus!

An angled flat-lay of the card front where the sentiment is front and center. Stamped in black ink is the sentiment "Isn't it amazing that we both have such an awesome friend?" A narrow strip of glittery purple cardstock divides the card base from the sentiment and a block of black and white diagonally striped patterned paper.

the glisten and glitter of this purple strip is so awesome. i felt like just a little bit was needed so as not to overwhelm the card design. the black and white pattern can be a little busy and hard on the eyes, so that's why i chose to divide it and the sentiment with the purple strip.

i'm thinking that a little series of similarly designed cards would make an awesome set to gift to a friend - so stay tuned for additional styles!

A simplistic yet complimentary card for any friend - agreeing that you both have an amazing friend! The stamped sentiment is accented by a glittery purple strip and a block of black and white diagonally patterned paper. Lots of white space adds to the overall clean design of this card.

all the products i've used on this card today are from my favorite things. i always enjoy their sassy [yet somewhat serious] sentiments in their stamp sets and this glitter paper is some of the best i've ever come across. add in black and white patterns and you can't go wrong! i can't wait to make more coordinating styles. friendship cards are some of my favorites to make + mail. you can check this one out here in the online shop.

tomorrow i'll be sharing another daily card and hopefully a few bonus cards as well! i hope your weekend is amazing- thanks for stopping by!
