#the100dayproject : 8/100

so today i decided to get a little sassy with my card and i am thrilled with the way that it turned out!

i didn't pick my color combo until i sat down to create and so i had no pre-conceived ideas or plans in my head.

after seeing these colors i decided that a love-themed card would be ideal. i knew i had a couple newer products i wanted to use that would work, so this card came together pretty quickly.

that background stamp came from my favorite things in a recent purchase and i love the size of it. this inner panel is smaller than my normal, but i love the way it looks with that wide border. the love you die-cut is from the one and only amazing cathy zielske and simon says stamp. man am i thrilled she started designing products for cards. they are just perfect.

i just love the layered look of that die-cut. it's so precise and perfect. i think that lots of us are feeling the love while at home with significant others and even kiddos too. the "more and more everyday." portion is from a stamp that i cut apart. *gasp* i know. but jennifer mcguire has assured me in many videos that it won't harm my stamps and i'll get even more use out of them and i trust her because she's a genius, and because i'd like to think we would be real life friends, so there's that.

i selected a brown envelope for this card because

1.- i'm out of white envelopes

2.- i'm out of kraft envelopes

3.- the pink and coral envelopes i have didn't match well enough

i decided not to use the soft stone color from the swatch book only because i felt the two browns were enough neutral for one card. also because i make up the rules.

you might remember that i said in the beginning that this card was on the sassy side. #quarantine2020 is different for everyone and while some of us are falling in love more and more everyday - some have those days where things aren't always perfect. so the inside of this card is the ideal place to write a little note ...

honesty is always the best policy. haha. i just love the sass of this.

who hasn't felt this way once or twice in the last few weeks? my favorite meme has been from a couple now working together from home who are blaming a made-up employee for all the annoying things the other person is doing.

hopefully someone will appreciate this card. i didn't get to add the others to the shop today, but i will for sure tomorrow. it's first thing on the list!

8 down, 92 to go!
