when today's wheel landed on 'all one company' [again], i knew which stamp set i wanted to use. i had so much fun with the ghosts yesterday that i couldn't wait to use the tombstones.
i have a coordinating stamp set with some pretty awesome sentiments and have had an idea floating around since i picked them up.
the saying "i can't even" has been wildly popular for some time now and it is fitting in so many situations. while the second part of the sentiment "i'm literally dead" is quite literally an oxymoron, there's just something about it that makes me laugh.
using the correlation between the "i'm literally dead" with the tombstones just seemed like the perfect idea. i added a bat and a skull to the two outside tombstones and stamped rip on the middle one for focal attention.
the spurts of grass are cut from some tone on tone chevron patterned paper [also from mft] and the dies i used are from a wildlife set that i just adore. i thought they added the right amount of creepy - like fresh planted grass on a newly dug grave.
this card would be excellent for halloween but could also be used for a variety of other uses. have good news you can't wait to share with a friend? use this card. want to thank someone for a generous gesture? use this card. want to make someone smile with your handwritten note? use this card.
you can't go wrong.
i'm so pleased with the way that it turned out! hand-drawn black lines surrounding the card front also make me smile. they are slightly wonky [which is my fave] but they're also with a shiny gel pen that adds a wonderful element to this card.
come back tomorrow for another dose of wheel inspiration - i promise it'll be great!
