so i took a day-long break from the birds, but i had to go back to them. i just needed to have three cards that sort of coordinated.
like days one and two, this one features the large blue circle with the faux-stitching on the card base, this time a tangerine color. my additional stitched detail comes in the form of the sun which purposely hangs off of the circle. the upper left rays even lift off of the card base for some depth.
the wonky bird was colored with prismacolor markers in shades of light orange and deep magenta - tying into the other two cards and their colors as well. it appears as if this bird is sitting on a wire of some sort and i just think he's adorable. he's also elevated off of the card base with foam tape.
the sentiment stamped near the bottom of the card reads "i love you more every day" in that same fun font as the others.
the weird/interesting thing about most card sets is that you're not usually going to send them all to the same person, so who even cares if they coordinate? but for some reason, i do. i like the idea of having cards in a group that all seem to carry a theme or a color scheme. just makes me happy.
things that also make me happy? including a brightly colored envelope with each card. i'm so excited because the company i get my envelopes from just did a restock in perfect timing of me doing my restock, so i've got oodles of envelopes headed my way and that makes me very happy!
