#the100dayproject : 60/100

happy friday friends!

i have to admit that i'm a little bummed with the card for day 60. it's a big milestone in this challenge/project and the results are a little blah. [that's what i get for waiting til the last minute when i came home from work to make a card!]

but, it's a card and i made it. it's not the most original one ever, but i do think it has a fun quirkiness to it.

i utilized some patterned paper that i had lying around - i think it was designed for valentine's day honestly. but i liked that little smiling tomato and the saying that went with it!

pulling two coordinating colors of cardstock, i rounded the edges and adhered everything together. for a little detail, i added a strip of polka dotted washi tape and drew lines around the inner perimeter of the card front. this is the glaze pen that has a slight texture and a fun shine to it.

it's a one of a kind card since i used a section of the patterned paper, but i also think i could make similar styles that could be good for any time! who wouldn't love to get this cute saying in the mail?

sometimes i have to remind myself it's not always about reinventing the wheel, but also using what i have on hand. the average person couldn't make this card unless they had the specialty paper, so i'm considering it a win, even if it wasn't super complicated to assemble.

rounded edges make everything a little bit better and i like the way they play off of the round tomato on this card. i think i know just who i can send this one to - unless i list it for sale instead!

i hope you have a wonderful weekend coming up - i've got a few projects to work on and i'm looking forward to some cleaning and creating time.
