#the100dayproject : 56/100

today i'm continuing a mini series of cards that i started on saturday and continued sunday. i have many ideas for continuing this series, but might take a small break from sharing them as cards of #the100daychallenge. but we'll see.

first, today's card:

it's only logical that along with hospital workers and police officers, fire fighters be included. today's card includes a fire station and a fire truck as well as the same sentiment as yesterday's card "you are my hero," stamped in black ink.

luckily for me, i've never had to utilize the services of any fire department, but i'm so grateful there are individuals who are willing to risk their lives to save and protect people who need help. it's definitely a hero-filled occupational field.

these stamps are from the same lawn fawn set i've been using and i absolutely adore them. the images are just freaking adorable and i've really been enjoying stamping, die-cutting and coloring them. prismacolor markers are one of my favorite mediums - they blend so beautifully and i love adding texture details.

each of these cards has been on a somewhat neutral colored card base and has a large, die-cut heart behind the building and vehicle. sometimes i think that less is more and these cards are representative of that.

as you know, i'm a huge fan of foam tape, but i'm a little disappointed in my newest order from amazon. i ordered the same brand and style i always do, but this time it's slightly different - it doesn't tear [at all] and isn't as thick so the dimension isn't as high. maybe it'll grow on me, but after one day i'm not impressed.

in terms of what's coming up in this project, i'm really looking forward to using some new inks that i ordered from pinkfresh studio. i have 48 new creamy, deliciously colored cubes waiting to be shared on cards full of color and i can't wait!

tomorrow i plan to share some details about an upcoming event i'll be taking part in - it's something new for me and i'm pretty jazzed about it!
