#the100dayproject : 37/100

there's something about lemons that reminds me of freshness and cleanliness and just overall makes me happy. i decided to bust some out on today's card.

i used some patterned paper as the basis for the background and then used a new stamp and coordinating die-cut as one of the focal images, of course layered on some foam tape for dimension.

this is similar to a card that i've made in the past, but i switched up a bunch of elements. i'm not sure that i love the background pattern of the sentiment strip, mainly because i think it is hard to read, so i may switch that up in the future. in case you can't see it, it reads "thinking of you."

i stamped the lemon and then die-cut it before i colored it with some prismacolor markers. i wanted it to resemble the background but be a little more dimensional [both in color and in actual depth].

the inside of the card also features a continuation of the sentiment and it might be my favorite part of this card.

"consider yourself freshly squeezed" is stamped near the top in black ink, playing off of the lemons on the front. the more i stamp sentiments on the inside of cards, the more i enjoy it. it might happen a bunch more in the very near future.

thinking of you style cards are some of my favorites to make and i can't wait to drop some of these into the mail.

who would you send this one to?
