#the100dayproject : 31/100

i'm so excited that i've been able to keep up with this project - in the beginning i really did have my doubts about being able to do it. if you want to see a fun little video that i made highlighting the cards from the last 30 days, you can check it out here. unfortunately i couldn't figure out a way to include it here. i do plan on either updating it as the project continues or making additional episodes.
looking back on the past few days i realized that i haven't used my color swatches - and i'm having mixed feelings about this. happy because i have had ideas where i haven't needed additional inspiration, but a little bummed because there's so many cool swatches left to use! spoiler, i didn't use one today.
the card today might look like it came together so easily, but that is not the case. i actually had two other ideas and i tried both of them - but neither one was successful. it happens. i'm okay with it.
the sentiment and the die-cut [like you] came in the mail today and i couldn't wait to use them. i'm all about making "day-maker" style cards and i think this sentiment is perfect. i kinda cheated a little because i didn't create the design on the right side of the card. it's from an awesome paper pack but i did color in all the trees to coordinate with the card base.
i sometimes think that less is more and that's a prime example with the color scheme on this card - just three colors; black, white and green. instead of having a border around the white panel, i lined it up with the right side of the card front. it's something a little different, but i like it.
the sentiment reads "if humans were more like you the world would be a better place" and i think we all know someone we could send this card to. i just love the clean and classic font of both the stamped portion and the die-cut. the designer, cathy zielske is just amazing.
this card will be added to the shop within the next couple days. my work schedule is going to be pretty crazy for the weekend with mother's day coming up, but i'm still planning on creating daily cards.
let me know if you have any requests - i would love to hear them!
