today was a somewhat mentally taxing day at work and i have to be honest that at the end of the night, i was struggling to complete a card.
however, i didn't want to give up on myself - or this challenge! so i used a panel from a few weeks ago when i played around with distress ink and decided to use it to create a one of a kind card.
i used a newer die-cut from mft that i've been waiting to use on the perfect card! it cuts all the letters at the same time so everything is perfectly straight and lined up. the best part about it is that now i also have the individual letters that i can use on another card!
the background is one of my favorites - swirls of shades of blue with silver mixed in. it's just so awesome creating these pieces because i can't plan how things will turn out.
there is such a cool sheen to it because of the metallic mixative and it's so much better in real life - i wish you could see it! the black card base is showing through the negative spaces so it's a big, bold sentiment. i decided not to add a stamped sub-sentiment and leave it just as-is.
the paper that this front panel is created on is actually a synthetic paper so it has a really smooth texture by itself. it's a very crisp white and the colors end up being so very vibrant. i think that i'm going to have to create some more of these backgrounds this week on my days off!
i did put a white layer on the inside so that there will be plenty of room for a personal message. it's a very simple card for today, but sometimes that's okay!
sending hugs your way these days - hoping you're able to enjoy these beautiful sunny days - while still saying 6 feet apart of course!
