#the100dayproject : 2022 : 28/100 - you're awesome [cerealsly]

if there's one thing that i love nearly as much as crafting, it's cereal. my faves are cinnamon toast crunch and reese's peanut butter puffs, but i won't pass up some honey nut cheerios. with or without milk - so easy and delicious. this may seem a little random, but i promise it's related to today's handmade card. 

day 28 and the inspiration wheel landed on sketch. i pulled up some ideas from my pinterest board and got to work, knowing that i wanted to combine a couple stamps from several lawn fawn sets. 

while i'm not a huge fan of fruit loops, i think the bird mascot is pretty adorable. i stamped the image of the bird, along with the bowl full of goodness and colored in the images using my prismacolor markers. i enjoy a good pun so of course the sentiment coordinates:

i think you're awesome [no, cerealsly]

the tiny stitched detail on the cropped circle is one of my favorite details - as i've mentioned before. the small banner with the pun portion of the sentiment is layered beneath the main die-cut element. 

i also added a trio of small clear hole-less sequins because they're just so fun! they help to move your eye around the card front as well, so they work double duty. 

there's a white panel [not shown] on the inside to ensure a place to write your message to the recipient since the black would be pretty hard to see! overall i'm pretty happy with the way this came out. it'd be super cute to accompany a mini box of cereal too! i'm scheming of the other cereal mascots to maybe make a mini series, so stay tuned!
