#the100dayproject : 2022 : 20/100 - make a wish
Share
it's day 20! each time i hit a day ending in 0 i get excited because that means it's another row completed in my compilation of all 100 cards. i'll reveal the final collage at the very end of the challenge - so for now, let's focus on day 20!
the inspiration wheel landed on ink blending and i decided to interpret that and use the ink with a stencil. i began with the smaller pink panel and a pink distress ink which i blended through the stencil, starting at the bottom. as i moved up the panel, i used less and less ink and pressure to fade out the pattern. on top of that i stamped the sentiment "make a wish" in black ink before adding a little sparkle detail to the open spaces within the letters.
two groupings of clear, mirrored, hole-less sequins round out the detail on this card front. the entire panel was adhered to a darker pink card base which closely resembles the color of ink used for the blending.
i think that the wide border along the left side and upper portion of the card front is nicely balanced by the sentiment and grouping of sequins near the bottom right. this card is a little different than some of my normal styles, but i think it came together pretty well. i'm certainly starting to stock my stash of birthday cards, so that's a good thing!
20 cards down, 80 to make!
