#the100dayproject : 2022 : 17/100 - sending hugs

day 17 - this project seems to be flying by!
today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on old product and i decided to pull out one of my favorite stamp sets that has a bunch of sentiments revolving around the word 'hugs'.
i began by selecting a light blue colored cardstock for the main panel on the card front. using a darker shade of blue ink, i stamped the sentiment "sending hugs to make your day a little brighter" near the lower right hand corner. in a coordinating color ink that matched the panel, i added a smattering of small x's and o's around the sentiment.
i like that the x's and o'x blend in a little bit but still support the main message. near the bottom of the light blue panel, i added a small strip of black and white striped patterned paper. this happened to be from some scraps left on my desk, but i thought it tied in nicely.
instead of leaving an even border around the perimeter of the light blue panel, i made it so that the wider edge was along the left side as well as the top. a rounded corner in the upper left adds a little extra detail as well.
cards like this one are some of my favorites to send, so that's why i tend to make so many. i think the world needs as much positivity, sunshine and encouragement as possible. don't you agree?
17 days down, 83 to go!
