it's day 15 and the inspiration wheel landed on old product. i seem to be landing on this slice of the wheel quite frequently, but because i have so many products, it's actually not a bad thing!
i decided to use a sentiment from an older stamp set - i really like that it isn't just your typical "happy birthday" but a little spin on it with "birthday wishes". i used a variety of fun patterned papers from this collection by my favorite things along with some scraps from my stash.
i made multiples of this card so each one is slightly different; the shapes and patterns of the hearts vary. for added dimension, i raised a couple of the hearts up off of the card base with the use of pop dots. i like that they squish down which makes mailing easy, but add a fun element of dimension on the card front.
just check out all those fun variations of the same card! even when i'm using a template or a pattern, each card will always be slightly different. that's one of my favorite things about being a handmade maker - no fancy mechanical assembly line or robots making these cards, just these two hands.
i'm discovering more and more that i like to have a variety of styles of birthday cards. each person is unique and different and deserves a card that reflects their personal style - don't you think?
i swear i'm working on getting all these styles uploaded to the online shop; i'm just super slo o o w. as for now -
15 days down, 85 to go!
