#the100dayproject : 2022 : 13/100 - thanks

day 13 and my inspiration wheel landed on color inspiration. this is the first stop on this topic this time around and so i decided to scour my pinterest board and landed on this color combo:
there are a handful of awesome color combinations from this artist and i was able to find her on instagram too. there are so many great selections - i know i'll be going back to her again!
i pulled out a stamp set that i've had for awhile but had yet to use from altenew. i think it has so much potential, but i've been a little intimidated to try and use it and do it justice. i paired it with some inks from concord & 9th including sea glass, aqua sky, peacock, wheat, stardust, and dove. i felt like these colors best represented those shown in the above inspiration palette.
i wish that i had taken photos between each layer of color because each one was so beautiful - but changed so much when layered and added to another color. i began with the outermost circle and worked my way inwards, ending with "thanks" in the darkest color of ink.
i decided that this design was best suited for a square card and so i trimmed down the stamped panel before layering it on the card base. my trick for square cards is to still send them in a traditional a2 envelope - it might move around a bit, but it won't cost you extra postage to mail.
the geometric pattern of this beauty is driving my desire to bust out the spirograph that jon got me awhile ago. he knew i'd love it and he's right - i just need to get it back out! maybe with a fresh set of markers or pens!
for now though - that's 13 days down and 87 to go!
