happy card making day!
it's been an awesome day for me, how about you? i was able to spend the majority of the day creating new cards as well as mapping out things that i can't wait to make!
today's spin on the inspiration wheel landed on inside element and so i decided to pull out some newer supplies and add a sentiment on the inside of the card.
the stencil and stamp set that i used are from honey bee stamps and they're a newer purchase for me. i used a variety of distress inks to create an ombre feel with the coffee beans on the front panel, starting with a lighter shade at the top and gradually getting darker towards the bottom.
i die-cut an aqua banner with some faux stitching for a pop of brightness. the sentiment on the banner reads "you've bean on my mind" and when you open it [the card] up the sentiment continues with ...
the creamy browns used on this card, both inside and out, make me so happy. they're such warm colors and are just perfect for this time of year. i'm not a huge coffee fan myself [give me alllllll the diet coke], but i think that this is super cute!
it's available in the 1cre8ivemess online shop here. i was able to add a handful of new designs today and as i mentioned above, my list of things to make is getting longer and longer - and i'm more motivated than i've been in a minute, so yay for that!
i hope you were able to take advantage of my [very rare] sale that is/was going on today - and for all those who took the time to shop, thank you, thank you, thank you! my heart is so full of thanks and appreciation for those who share my love of snail mail.
in terms of #the100dayproject, 11 days down and 89 to go! thanks so much for following along!
