Mail It Monday #12

Mail It Monday #12

happy first monday of 2020! it's hard for me to believe that the holidays are over and we're already into the swing of the mundane, everyday happenings.

although it's a new year, one thing for sure hasn't changed. i'm still all about sending snail mail to share some handmade kindness!

the card i made and mailed last week went to a friend who's been having some rough days recently. i figured that she might need a reminder that she's amazing.

this is similar to a card that i've made in the past, but has a few small details that are different. i started out by stamping three pink blocks with a variety of patterns - polka dots, solid and some stripes. [looking at them now they appear a little wonky, but not much i can do about it now.]

then i added the sentiment in black in overlapping the pink blocks. it's stamped in black ink and reads "leave a little sparkle wherever you go." and is accented by a smattering of small silver stars. for a dash of sparkle, i also added a small strip of silver glittery paper on the left side of the panel.

the white panel is elevated off of the card base with the use of my favorite foam tape.

sometimes i think that picking up on things that our friends are going through is one of the most important that we can do. sometimes a listening ear or a thinking of you card can make all the difference.

i'm slowly recovering from the crafty projects of the holidays and getting back into a rhythm of creating for me and for clients. this week i finished up two different custom orders!

i'm really looking forward to adding new shows and events this year as well as sending more mail. if you're looking for some non-traditional reasons to pick up a pen and a handmade card, check out these upcoming dates:

january 8 - national argyle day

january 9 - national law enforcement appreciation day

january 11 - national vision board day

january 13 - national sticker day

can't wait to fill you in next week on all the fun things i've been working on. have a great week!
